An interesting site which gives Johannes Brahms' philosophy and techniques on composing and inspiration. It includes a link to other composer's thoughts on inspiration and an extensive bibliography of books on the art of music.
Scuba Mom's Caribbean MIDI files
A great site for dozens of Latin tunes and arrangements in a Latin style. All files are midi files and can be downloaded for study of the style. It’s particularly good for the percussion tracks.

TI:ME - Technology Institute for Music Education
TIME is a non-profit organization devoted to technology and education. The site has a wealth of information for the public and additional content for members only. Membership is only $35 per year  and includes four  different magazine subscriptions.
The International Society for Technology Education This international organization of educational technology enthusiasts and leaders  has a wealth of information.

Here is a great sight for guitar strumming patterns. It has a variety of different patterns with the notation and sound samples in Real Audio. Very user friendly and it has large print for easy reading. My students will use this!  submitted by Betsy Nolan
Flute Instruction
This page looks like it could be very helpful for teaching flute. Not only does it have the fingering chart, but it also has a free online metronome and lesson plans! American Gamelan Institute Gongcast is a 24/7 streaming of all sorts of traditional and modern Gamelan music. If you ever need an audio example of Indonesian Gamelan,you are in luck because of this link. submitted by Brian Boyes
Native American Flutes
Here's a beautifully designed fingering chart for the Native American flute and the song Amazing Grace. I don't know if all is accurate, but it's a beautiful to look at. From the very clear diagrams I believe students could learn to play the tune on a six hole Native American flute. There's a real audio file of Charles Littleleaf performing the tune.
Woodwind Support This site provides extensive fingering charts for woodwinds, including basic fingerings, alternate fingerings, quarter tone, and tremelo fingerings. Charts are available for flute and piccolo, oboe,clarinet, saxophone, bassoon and several other instruments. submitted by Carol Towle
